Ty's updated bedroom!

Ty has officially graduated from crib, to toddler bed, and now to big boy bed! Our neighbor does carpentry and built this custom built-in bed for Tyler's room! It fits perfectly and has a ton of storage, so we did some re-arranging!

Ty's new bed! The shark sheets are from Pottery Barn, they were a bit pricey, so instead of getting the matching quilt (even more expensive) I found this reversible navy blue comforter from Target for $20.00! So perfect! The bed is complete with underneath drawers that are the depth of the entire twin bed! (SOOO much storage!) and a bookshelf for toys and books! The drawer that serves as a headboard has 3 shelves inside with baskets for all of his diapering things! I also found some new fun ocean decor at Christmas Tree Shops! (its that time of year!)

With the amount of windows in this place, we ended up getting some black out shades from Pottery Barn for his room, they do a great job keeping it dark in here in the morning and for naptime. We moved his train table into his room because we gained so much floorspace and we got rid of the rocking chair and changing table. Big Boy ready!

So of course I had to redecorate the 'playroom' since we did his bedroom! The Target cube shelf and baskets are perfect for sorting toys! and the super cute rug is from BJ's!

Chris Yo Gabba Gabba Character Name Sign

After I created the Mickey name sign for Tyler, I did one for my friend for her son's birthday! Our kids are equally obsessed with Mickey Mouse and Yo Gabba Gabba, so I did his with Yo Gabba Gabba, to change things up.

After I had completed the first one, I knew there were changes I would make doing it next time, This time I got plain wood letters, unpainted, because of the problem I had last time with the paint not sticking, this worked much better and I only needed 2 coats of paint and it dried much quicker!

I did the same thing using recycled cardboard for the accessories and hot glued them on once everything was dry, and here it is! This time was much quicker only taking about 2 days to complete with drying time.
